For the men, it's their first national title, which ends the streak of championships of Ohio schools that has lasted since 1980. No team has won the men's national title other than Kenyon or Denison in the last 37 years. On the women's side, it is the 10th title for the Emory women and 8th consecutive.

The Emory men scored 438 points and runner-up Kenyon scored 384. On the women's side, Emory scored 645.5 points, well ahead of runner-up Williams who scored 445.
