Hard to believe Peyton Scott didn't make 1st team but this side of the district is loaded. Not surprised on another hand because the coaches often take care of upperclassman a bit.

Congrats to all kids who made all of the teams.

I bet Scott gets 1st team AP

Found Scott's averages on Cincy paper website, 20. pts, 3.6 assists and 3.6 steals a game, led her team in scoring from what it looks like. The Coaches voting is questionable every year. Lol, protect your own....

Based on last year's AP she might also be 2nd team AP.

Im wondering the same thing,
Kinda hard to believe, no one from Oak Hill or Minford was mentioned, yet Portsmouth West, Valley and Northwest all had players on there (????)

No mention of Daniels either means different district or total snub

Oak Hill is in District 13

The Southeast District is broken up into District 13 & 14 for the Coaches Association.

The AP All-District Team brings both Districts together.

I agree, its hard to believe Scott did not make it. Led Lynchburg-Clay in scoring, assist per game, steals per game and second on the team in rebounding from the point guard position. Lynchburg-Clay 46-5 since Scott joined the team last year and will be playing in back to back state sweet 16 games tomorrow. Hope the AP does recognize.

The coach was responsible for the minford and Lynchburg snubs you all talk about.

Minford players weren't eligible due to no state membership.

Lynchburg listed Scott as 3rd best player. Coaches voted as the coach set it up.

Tired of everyone always blaming the other coaches.

AP usually tends to favor the teams that have a larger media coverage. Some schools are covered by 3 or 4 newspapers. Some 1. I know coaches do have there favs. But so do AP voters. And when you have 3 or 4 AP voters voting for 1 school well there you go. Coaches poll is voted by peers. AP by reporters. Its not a MVP award its a POY. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Coaches should always have their dues paid so kids can win awards.

Coaches don't have to vote in the order another coach lists their kids. Coaches can purposely list a kid higher on his or her list knowing they are a borderline player for a selection.

The AP is getting better at making it fair for all kids.
