ZT will be getting field turf next season, thanks to a private donation of 500,000.

Interesting hire, wonder if any local former head coaches who elected not to coach this year where they were will join him as assistants?

I agree! Gives the Zane Trace community great respect to have a man of that caliber attend there.

He quit for the second time. Each time he has coached it was for only two years.

Hard to tell how good they will be. Past few years the jv have done well and been big and strong. I look for them to pound the ball again and be physical on def. they could win the abc again or be 6-4.

ZT is returning 7-8 starters both ways, they should breeze through the SVC, Waverly will give them trouble, they'll be AT WORST 8-2

I don't know about "breeze" you lose a majority of your offensive threat in Harris but return a a good running back.

I say 7-3

The Pioneers will start the season with a great new field, a new head coach, and needing to replace their highly productive running QB, as well as a couple of very good offensive linemen. With several improved teams, the SVC looks to be competitive this year. ZT will be in the mix, but another Gold Ball may be a struggle.
