Thoughts on 2017 Season

Hearing things are really heating up for the football program. Heard coach McCarver has them really hitting the weights. They also spend lots of time in the pitching mound and in the batting cage. Guessing Coach Lemley loves having a former major leaguer around.

Yea, hiring a professional athlete to coach a high school football team is really exciting. Not sure if it brings success though. Maybe ask Meigs? :lol:

Warren looked much improved when I saw them in week 10 this year.

Coach Pfifer had the program in good shape not too long ago. The boys on the sidelines look okay and they now have experience to go with it.

Good luck to Coach McCarver.

Warren is getting better, going to be a slow process, need some stability and proven ability to get and keep the young kids out.

Warren Schedule 2017

Athens
@ Marietta
Point Pleasant
@ Fort Frye
@Oak Glen
@Crooksville
John Marshall
Weirton
@Linsly
@Logan

**Not an easy task to improve upon last years results. Only see one win that should be guaranteed. IMO!

Yeah, we are waiting to hear from ESPN family of stations about possibly picking up at least one of our games.

How many of these schools are bigger than Warren. I know John Marshall. Athens and Marietta are about the same. FF and Crooksville only have one hundred plus boys. Warren is close to 300.

Wow, I bet it will get old really fast if Warren has to play so many teams from WV every year. It's not their fault, just depends on who has an opening in any given week.

It will be interesting to see how attendance will be impacted by this schedule. At least there are some local teams on the schedule to help with that.
