Most teams want at least a 2 year deal. Wheelersburg may loose a few of these games, but they will compete well during that span. From what I've seen in the younger grades they will have to back it down a little after that.

I agree
I was told the burg AD has contacted CCC
I heard again today it was done deal.
That could make for a interesting start to the season minus wk 2 against fairland.

WK 1: Ironton
WK 2: Fairland (why we renewed I don't know)
WK 3: Bishop Watterson
WK 4: Canton Central Catholic
WK 5: Jackson

That's looks to be a very impressive schedule for burg. Week 3-5 might be the toughest stretch burg has ever had. 4-1 3-2 after week 5 with those teams might not be that bad.

50-50 odds that we are 2-3 going into Week 6 with this schedule.

Will be the toughest start we have had in a while.

I agree but probably about a 90% chance they would finish 7-3
50-50 odds of hosting week 11

I agree JTEK, and even if we don't host I would rather travel and be battle tested than stay home and have played a soft schedule.

That's for sure. We need some testing

Is the Canton Central Catholic a done deal? If so, when and where will the game be played.

I ADMIRE THE QUEST TO SCHEDULE UP. JUST CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR AND ESPECIALLY TOO MANY OF THEM.

I heard today from a reasonable source that we have a complete schedule now. Here is it

WK 1: Ironton (away)
WK 2: Fairland (home)
WK 3: Heath (away)
WK 4: Bishop Watterson (home)
WK 5: Jackson (away)
WK 6: Oak Hill (home)
WK 7: Waverly (home)
WK 8: Minford (away)
WK 9: Valley (away)
WK 10: West (home)

Heath went 10-1 last yr losing to philo 42-7 in the first round of the playoffs.

Heath schedule and results from last year (brackets show the won/loss of the team they played).

River View (63-0 W) [0-10]
Highland (54-28 W) [7-3]
Granville (35-14 W) [5-5]
Licking Valley (36-13 W) [4-6]
Licking Heights (24-23 W) [8-3]
Newark Catholic (41-7 W) [9-5]
Utica (42-7 W) [0-10]
Northridge (42-0 W) [4-6]
Lakewood (34-3 W) [4-6]
Johnstown Monroe (35-31 W) [10-2]

Total Wins/Losses of opponents: 51-56

Schedule really isn't very good, and it looks pretty bad that they got whooped up on BIG TIME in their first tournament game to Philo team who then turned around and got shellacked in the next round by Shelby.

Just looking on paper, it looks like this schedule is more of Heath upping the competition on their schedule rather than Wheelersburg upping theirs.

With that being said, let me say that it was a great job by Wheelersburg getting Bishop Watterson on the schedule!

Interesting schedule, playing only 3 Scioto County teams. Looks like a tougher schedule overall and may be difficult to have a 3rd straight perfect 10-0 season. Time will tell. GO BURG!

Heath's 4 year starting QB Arron Latiolais will have graduated.

http://www.newarkadvocate.com/story/spo ... /94043854/

The rest of Licking County certainly knew his status as it continued to grow during his four years as a starter. For leading Heath to a breakthrough season, with some eye-popping numbers even though he didn't play the whole game in several blowouts, Latiolais is The Advocate 2016 Offensive Player of the Year.

In guiding the Bulldogs to their first undefeated regular season and a Division IV home playoff game, Latiolais accounted for a whopping 44 touchdowns (20 rushing, 24 passing) and over 3,000 yards of total offense. He seldom left the field, also playing safety on defense and returning punts.

Collier said Latiolais now stands atop nearly every Heath passing and rushing record.

"Last year, he ran for over 1,000 yards and threw for over 1,000 yards," he said. "This year, he ran for over 1,000 again, and threw for over 2,000. He had five picks, a punt return for a score and a scoop and score."

He also completed 68 percent of his passes.

I heard CCC had already committed to another team but they agreed to burg game if the other team could find another game.
