What is your guys opinions of players middle school and up lifting weights and partaking in weight training programs for softball? Is it a benefit? Does it hurt swings? I've heard both.

I doubt it is a bad thing. College players lift 3 days a week. As long as it is supervised by a qualified trainer.

Burg does it, didn't seem to hurt them last year
