Jackson 1
Miami Trace 0

Gaven Jones went 6 2/3 and Stuckey went all 6 for MT

Jackson left some runs on the table with baserunning but saved several runs with great defensive plays with runners on. Wyant saved at least 2 runs with a great scoop on an in between hop with 2 outs and bases full. Williams made a great play with runners on late for the 3rd out. McGraw made a great play at 3rd to end an inning. Wolford playing LF busted tail on a ball right at CF and skipped by him but Wolfords hustle kept runner at 1st and proved to save yet another run.

Good team win

Jones pitched excellent and Ervin got the last gutsy out

Burg 2
Valley 1

Conn and Arnett both pitched complete games in what was a great ballgame.

Burg is now 8-2, 6-1 SOC II and Valley us 8-1, 6-1 in SOC II. 3rd straight game decided by one run between these 2 teams.

We’ve had 30+ games at the VA so far this spring and outside of Southern continuously throwing the ball away in the first when trying to pickoff Roades in the first, it was one of the cleanest played games this far

Probably in the top 2-3 in overall competitiveness, if not first. It was a great game to watch.

It would nice that some local teams would get to play at the VA occasionally. Probably make a little more money rather than have teams 70 miles away play there.

All they have to do is reach out. The schedule for next year is open.

Chillicothe, Waverly, Whiteoak, McClain all play 3-4 times, so I doubt it is impossible for locals to find times to play.

Unioto, Logan Elm, Zane Trace rarely play there. Maybe they don't want to, but I were the Paints, I would want local teams playing there. $$$$$

That’s fair, but I know certain teams don’t want to give up their home games, especially in league play, so they would rather not play at the VA

They should have a SVC doubleheader out there every Friday night. Everybody has to give up one home game. $$$$$$ for the Paints.

I always suggested something similar, especially once the VA got turf. Could’ve been an ideal place for WKKJ to call games there on those nights.

Until the SVC gets a commissioner, nothing like this will happen though.
