3/28/22 Waverly @ Wheelersburg

Opening up conference play tonight with Waverly coming to the Burg. Have to assume Junior Alex Boles will be on the bump for the Tigers and Senior Hunter Thomas for the Pirates. Waverly lost a good group of seniors, but so did Wheelersburg, as they started almost all seniors last season. Coming into this one Burg now will start 7 sophomores and 2 seniors, including catcher Cooper Mckenzie who looks to have another big year behind the plate. I’d have to say Burg will play small ball and look to get some early runs for Thomas, and keep him calm on the mound. I’ll take Burg by a score of
