Only graduated 2 seniors last year and it looks like 6-8 freshmen are coming in. There should be a full jv schedule this year also.

They were impressive last year. I expect the same if they lost just 2 kids.

Using the success from last year and the amount of returning starters, Minford should have a very good team this coming season.

They should have several very talented young pitchers, including Lewis.

Yes, losing Hopper is huge, but Knittle will have them in the hunt to repeat last years success. A strong senior class will make sure they are in every game they play.

What happened with Coach Hopper? Did he take another coaching job elsewhere?

No. He took a job out of town. Has nothing to do with baseball. Hate to see him go but fully understand.

Gotcha. And who is the new coach? Is he the Knittle that was from Portsmouth West?

Should be a good double header between Athens and the Falcons soon.
I doubt either team throws their 1,2 or 3 ... But still, should be some quality baseball being played when they hook up.

Agreed. If you're wanting to watch some quality baseball tomorrow come on down to Minford at noon. Should be fun. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see our 1 & 2 starters on the mound.
