WNXT

Post by minford17 »

Heard tonight that Mark Williams and Chuck Greenslate will be doing some baseball broadcasts this year. Heard them say they will be doing the NW at West game to start. They will also be doing the coaches call in show on Saturday mornings starting tomorrow. They will be finishing up basketball tomorrow, but will be encouraging baseball and softball coaches to call the weeks following. Great to hear that these sports will now be broadcast. Way to go WNXT, Mark, and Chuck.

Keep it going into the summer and do Post 23 games too. Can do games they have against Waverly Post 142 and Jackson Post 81. A few Scioto County kids on those teams also.

Glad there are games on radio. Only question is why Webster, Green, Clay, East and Notre Dame get 1 game. Minford, Wheelersburg get 3. I understand they have had more success in post season. But should that really factor in?

Yes. Success is always a factor. That's why OSU football plays on national TV and OU doesn't. Works that way for everything. Even HS baseball.

Fair question? The reasoning was trying to get every county team at least one game. With only doing a limited schedule, some of that meant repeating teams - and trying to put as many on the AM as possible. We have to juggle the Reds schedule as well staring in April, This is trial and error - a guinea pig season - if it works well - we may be able to increase it in the future. Also, facilities factor in. Thanks for the input. Keep in mind, the schedule is subject to change. Don't rule anything out - we want to be responsive to the audience.
