What has happened to baseball at Marietta?

Marietta has always been a baseball town.The high school team has always fielded a winning team until the last 4/5 years.What seems to be the problem?Do they still have a youth league?I heard they don't have a Legion team any more.It's sad to see a once great high school program dying.

Weren't they just in the D2 district finals last year, and had about a 10 run lead against Waverly that they couldn't hold on to for the trip to the regional?

do not know about the 10 run lead but yea they were beaten by Waverly in the District Finals. So the sky is not falling.

We went to the district semi's two years ago and lost to Circleville by 1 and they moved on to win the district and then last year we were up 8-10 runs on Waverly in the 4th and Waverly came back to win that game. The problem this year was there was only 3 seniors. Alot of good young players so expect good things in the next year or two to come. Just a young team.
