Is Chillicothe in the north or the south?

Sorry .... CIRCLEVILLE .... is in the North; not chillicothe.

From the records posted thus far - the division II district tournament is gonna be brutal! No team has a losing record and most of them have reached double digets in wins.

That is why I hate the way we do our district tournament "seeding", it is definitely not a tournament drawing. I would love to see all 19 teams in one big bracket. Seed the top 8 and let them place themselves on the bracket and the rest of the teams draw to see what order they would place themselves on the bracket. I know your going say travel time, but is there a farther trip than Sheridan or New Lex to Hillsboro who could face each other in the first game? At least that would add some strategy and thinking to it. Right now we show up vote based on records and eat soup and sandwiches(very good by the way).

Any predictions on the seedings and possible matchups?

Waverly is now 15-2, assuming they play well thru this week and into next they will be a #1 seed.

After researching several online newspapers - this is the best I have as of Saturday, April 30.

1. Hillsboro (10-0)
2. New Lex (11-3)
3. WCH (10-5)
4. Sheridan (12-6)
5. Circleville (11-6)
6. Logan Elm (9-7)
7. Fairfield Union (12-10)
8. Miami Trace (8-7)
9. McClain (8-10)

Still no scores from Pickaway Tourney or Hillsboro DH

I think the top two and bottom 3 seeds are pretty obvious - the middle 4 could become political.

Hillsboro will be the team to beat especially with Bagshaw pitching (0.27 ERA, 2 no-no's and 1 perfect game this year.) Playing twice a week may hurt them though - New Lex may make a case for the #1 seed.

SEOAL South champion Chillicothe is 15-7 overall and second place Gallipolis is 12-7 and 7-5 in SEOAL play after Cavs edged GAHS 8-6 at Gallipolis this evening in a makeup game.

Actually Chillicothe is 15-7 overall, 10-0 in the league. They are 9-2 in their last eleven ballgames with the two losses to undefeated Hillsboro. They should be looking at the 2 seed considering their schedule.

Hillsboro has only played 10 games? Rain has been a factor, but should a team that has only played 10 games and is 10-0 be a number 1 seed when the teams they are being seeded against have played15-20 games? Just a thought. Some say 10-0 is 10-0 and should be number 1. Others say not so much. What's the level of their competition?

You need to throw a loss to Circleville in w/ your 9-2 in last eleven . I'd say the Cavs have earned a 2 or 3 seed . The league is down this year and Cavs haven't really beaten anyone . However , Cavs have hit their stride and will be a tough out . GO CAVS!!!

sure the Cavs havent been up to the level of play that theyre capable of out of division play, but dont take anything away from them.....theyre still a perfect 10-0 in the SEOAL, and 15-7 overall....theyre doing something right

Chilltown,

The loss to Circleville would be game number 12. Chillicothe has played 7 league games (counting the suspended Ironton game) in the last 8 days. On the Saturday of prom they played the non-league Hillsboro games in the middle of that stretch of nine. The point of 9-2 in the last eleven is hopefully this is a good sign that they are on a roll going into tournament play.

As for the number 2 seed comment, I was commenting on the South. I think Waverly will get the 1 seed and Chillicothe deserves the 2 seed IMO. Regarding Hillsboro, they are a good ballclub, but whether they deserve the 1 seed in the North, I won't comment as I have not seen enough of those teams play to make an educated decision.
