Hopefully Athens gets to state next year. Been since the 60's. Athens was in the very first D1 championship game. Columbus Aquinas 4 Athens 3

At the D2 level Badin makes routine appearances there and Defiance, Poland and Steubenville are not unfamiliar with winning at the Regional level either. Not sure what Big Red has coming back, but they most likely will be someone you will need to get through to get to Huntington Park.

Along with Meigs, Marietta, etc. at the District Level.

A solid #2 to go along with the Sano (spelling?) kid will help. Speaking of Sano does he have any offers as of yet?

The regional final should be Steubenville, New Philadelphia, or St Clairsville out of the east district.

Sano just has interested in Ohio, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech. His dad is a lifting coach for OU football.

Poland and Defiance isn't in the same region as Athens

I understand they are not in same region, but all are in Final 4 at HP this week. Point was (I didn't make it very artfully) they are programs accustomed to being there or playing at a high level.

Good luck to you folks next year.

Last year Defiance beat Poland in the finals. Hopefully Poland can win it this year
