Cant really judge a team by 1, 2, 3 or even 4 games.
And does record even matter a whole lot?
What was Athens a few years ago, a 7 seed, and made it all the way to regionals?
Regular season is not even that important. How good are you with your #1 and #2 on the hill? That's is the key.

It was 2016 and yes they had a play-in game against Chillicothe as I recall, threw their #2 in that one and won. I prefer to not remember the next game that Sanos pitched, not sure why it continues to be brought up lol.

And yes it is about the #1 and #2 come play-off time.

Did hurt Athens that the ace is now at IMG Academy. He's 3-3 there. That was a great match up between Sano and Sexton

Jack always pitched the first 'do-or-die' game. That is your ace. Preston threw the 2nd (your No. 2)

Athens has not been hurt really by his departure. Trainer is just as good if not better. It just hurts a little to move him off short. Lonas has better stuff than both when he is on, he just doesn't like to take the mound it seems. He will be needed on the hill before its all said and done, IMO.

Trainer did make a great play at short today. Made a tough throw look easy

I didn't think there would be much drama down the stretch in the TVC this year, but looks like I was wrong. I assume Athens will get it done, but Wellston could really put a wrench in everyone's season with the two games they have to play on 4/26 and 4/29. What is their TVC record?
