Thanks for the correction! Do you have the girls score?

Couple interesting matchups to end seasons.

Chilli plays Unioto who feels they should have been the #1 seed on that side of the bracket.

Fairfield union plays bloom carroll for the MSL title. BC is the #1 seed in the d2 central district.

For sure 2 matches that will help all 4 teams tune up for the tournament

Chillicothe has 3 games this week.

Westerville South, Unioto & Point Pleasent at Rio Grande.

All great tournament prep games.

Unioto is a great tourney prep game for sure.

Westerville south is awful. They've scored 7 goals the entire season. Point Pleasant tied gallia 1-1. I wouldn't consider those good prep games.

I feel bad for chilli they have to play CH a 3rd time, that's just not fun.

So true about CH game but that’s price you pay for being 1 seed...I’m sure Chilli will suffer through it.

I'm very suprised that Chillicothe was seed 1. Other teams has a lot better record then CHS does.

Tournament time is always the great debate between record and strength of schedule.

Who has a better record than Chillicothe in the sectional? Unioto was 7-5-1 with the schedule they played, the losses are deceiving. They are much better than the record shows. Similar to Alexander getting the #1 in D3. Again, Chillicothe has to play the league schedule twice. I wish it would change and would allow 11 out of league games rather than 6. We play 3 early, and 3 late.

Chillicothe was supposed to play Zanesville and in July we were informed that they would rather play someone else. So Point Pleasent was a game or only schedule 15 games.

Chillicothe deserves the 1 seed based on their overall record and their records against the other teams in their Sectional. Not sure what other teams you feel had a better record? Theirs was the best of the group. While they didn't play Unioto, their record vs common opponents is similar (outside of the Marietta loss). I will agree that their non-league schedule is a little weak being that they are coming down from D1 and are one of the larger DII teams in the state, but their so-so schedule helped them get the top seed, so be it.

We should find out on Thursday if Unioto or Chillicothe made the right choice when putting together their schedule. It ended up hurting Unioto's seed, but did it prepare them better for the tourney? TBD. Unioto has been plagued by injuries at the forward, midfield and keeper positions for much of the season, so they might have bitten off more they can chew this Fall. Play tough teams, prepare to be battered and bruised. Unioto is likely looking forward to next year when their 3 strongest classes will be SR/JR/SO.

On another note, I look forward to seeing how the Bloom vs FU game goes. It should tell us a lot about how the tournament will play out.

Good point about injuries as well. Sometimes a team will "schedule up" only to suffer several injuries along the way which makes them playing 14-15 deep just to field their first 11. Very few teams can go deeper than that in meaningful games without starting to see a significant drop.

Didnt miss much with not getting to play zanesville. They're pretty bad this year for some reason.

I think it seems clear to me, and I could be wrong, that unioto scheduled up because of having jayla and signed the home and homes knowing not only would jayla be there but either would the coaches. Especially since they got gahanna and NA to play at unioto last year. They sorta left this years team, who's not as talented, out to dry.
Hopefully that doesn't come off the wrong way either, cause they still have talent but I think you know what I'm saying.

As far as seeding, there is always an argument for one or two of the seeds, but regardless of where you are seeded, you're gonna have to play some tough games along the way.
