I know the Trojans are at the bottom of the standings, but it's great to see Portsmouth field a soccer team. The competitive growth will take a few years, but at least we have a team, and that's a good thing. GO TROJANS!!!

Portsmouth has a good, young, energetic coach. I agree it might take a few years but I believe he will make them competitive. 10 + year absence is a big learning curve to correct.

If you have watched Portsmouth, you can tell that they are on the right path. They look very organized and seem to be grasping the fundamentals very well. However, it is still obvious to tell that the majority of the team haven’t played the game for long. That’s not a knock on them at all, but they are several years behind most other players in the area. Once they get some experience under their belt, they’ll be fine.

Portsmouth hasn't had youth soccer for several years, but now that they have a JH team, they will improve in 2-3 years once they have a few established players in each grade.
