Both teams were actually pretty evenly matched although I'd argue that Athens had more possession. Jackson had an over the top approach that could threaten on occasion when their #7 got in on goal but that was it besides a few nice corners.

The pk call was pretty awful. It was actually one of the best tackles I've seen in hs soccer and I'd love to see a video replay. I need to restrain myself because my daughter probably has another year playing hs soccer. But it's frankly been depressing as a parent, trainer for my kids and general supporter of the sport.

The assistant coach (I think) for Jackson beclowned himself at the end of the game. And I have no idea why there were no ball "boys" until half way through when the job was given to what appeared to be a group of 5 year olds....not kidding. I was actually worried one would get clobbered accidentally. At least they didn't go ring their bell and didn't have an armed deputy sheriff at the game so that was nice.

I'm guessing North Adams is way down. Lost to Southeastern (who is 8-0, but not a great schedule, still 8-0 is 8-0) and then the tie against Westfall is even more of a head scratcher for an established program. Good work by the Mustangs to get the draw though.

Good to see the Lady Shermans get back to back shutout wins. Hopefully they are finding their footing now, especially with the shifting of Campbell into the midfield. Huge test with FU coming up to see where the stand.

There have been lots of low scoring games and ties early this season.

North Adams has been dealing with the injury bug all year. Has not had one game with all 11 starters available. Thus there have been up and down results all year. One benefit is that otherwise "bench" players are being battle-tested and gaining much more PT and experience than expected. Should play off in the long run. Tonight's win was a good one vs a very good Leesburg Fairfield team.
