Ironton over South Point by 30.-Ironton best team in Southeast Ohio-Including LC-SW-Burg! And they have Barrier!

Not really surprised at last weeks results- watched a very determined RH team beat SP on the road. RH plays hard and has a strong core that has to play a lot of minutes. They won't be an easy out come tourney time. SP really up and down. Some nights they look really good and others not so.....that's what playi
ng a younger lineup does for you! Was kind of surprised at the low score of Dragons/Peake game-Peake has more experience and kept the score where they needed to have a chance to win. Picks for Monday-

Big Thursday night with what should be some pretty good games in girls OVC Hoops action. Biggest surprise so far has been the young guns of the Dragons. Really have been impressive thus far after losing the majority of their points to graduation. Guard tandem of Chapman and Perry have the Dragons playing well. Tigers are right where they should be and were the pick to win it all as well as being a regional favorite. Barrier is a very unselfish multi-talented player that is surrounded by a very athletic group that has lived up to their billing. I don't see anyone knocking them off in the conference. The Panthers are having a good year and are currently in 3rd place in the conference. They are a little guard thin and lost a Sr to injury but have really regrouped and get teams to play their style. The battle right now is for 2nd place. Peake/Dragons/Pointers all battling it out to finish year. Pointers also playing well after loss of a starter. Hats off to Coach Adams for rallying the girls!

CG over Portsmouth at home- should be a very close game
Peake over S.P.- Huge game-Peake looking for revenge at home
Tigers over Dragons- Dragons play them closer this time
RH over Gallia- another close one that could go either way
