As close as and how well Nelsonville-York played against Lynchburg-Clay, and how easily Alexander defeated NY 2 games, ( One game by 30pts, One game by 20pts ) it would be very easy to pick Alexander over LC. But then mayby NY is playing better now than earlier in the season. But then the most important factor could be a player by the name of Peyton Scott, who just happens to play for LC. Could and should be a very good ballgame, as both teams are good battle tested tournament teams.

What a great match up for a district final. Two storied programs that have battled each other in soccer and basketball over the last four years. Exciting to get to see two wonderful programs with terrific athletes battle for the title. I can tell you that the folks at Lynchburg Clay are excited for this game playing against such a quality opponent and that we have incredible respect for the Alexander Lady Spartans. Their is a reason Alexander is always deep in the tournament in both soccer and basketball every year. I look forward to Saturday against the lady Spartans and wouldn't want it any other way. #ironsharpensiron

With Alexander, you have to shut down 3 or 4 players. Alex has multiple girls who can score, they are coached well and they don't quit.
I've seen Alex play multiple times and have only seen LC play once this year.
I think this will be a very close Game either way. I'm not going to pick a winner.
Who ever wins it will be by 5 or less.

Scott is about the best all around player I’ve seen but Alexander had the better team.

Congratulations to the Alexander Lady Spartans. Great game, really good team play. They played well, took care of the basketball and made their free throws down the stretch. The Lady Spartans were very good today. Good luck in the Regional round, you will represent Southeast Ohio well.

Thank you to Southeastern Ohio Preps for the coverage and conversations over the last 4 years in soccer and basketball. I have really enjoyed your site and everyone has always been kind to Peyton Scott. Watched my baby girls last high school game today, end of an era. Looking forward to the next chapter and I hope she can represent our area well. Good luck to all in the coming years. Its been a fun ride.

Sincerely,

Stacey Scott

I don’t know her personally but have enjoyed watching her play, have always been impressed with how she handles herself on the court. Seems to be a fine young lady...

Your daughter is one of the best players that I've had the pleasure of watching in all of SEO. She can do it all, and does it very well. I wish her well at Miami University, and have no doubt that she will excel.

Good luck to Peyton as she moves on. I know several coaches in both basketball and soccer who will gladly be sending her graduation cards....lol. Great career.
