Not sure if NY has a true post player, but that seemed to be the biggest weakness of LC against Ironton.

Ironton plays hard! Gets after it on defense and did their best to make life tough on LC #24. The Ironton team shot the lights out of it from three point land. They never really tried to establish an inside game and really didn't need to with the way the shot the ball from three. Possessions for Ironton took a little to long to get the shots they wanted. If they could of sped up their pace and got more shots up over the course of the game they may have pulled it out. They put themselves in a situation taking so long each possession that they had to make every shot and almost did. I was impressed with their team over all. Was a great game to watch. I added greatly to my collection of grey hair during that one!

Haley Hurd can handle things in the post.

The key for NY will be if Mary Kate drives the ball to the basket early in the game. If she gets hot she is tough to stop. If Jos Heller can get open looks she will make the shots.

I know folks look at the Buckeyes record and judge them off of it, but it took a while for this team to gel on the court. They should show up and play well Thursday.
The lady Buckeyes are pretty good on the defensive end. If they shoot the ball well they can come out with the win.

The Buckeye's will need to play pretty good defense, as Peyton Scott of LC can certainly score the basketball.

I know that she's a great player, but I don't think anyone could have seen this coming, especially the 4th Qtr. Nelsonville York had 34 pts at the end of the 3rd Qtr, and an 8 pt lead. LC must have played some killer defense in the 4th Qtr. Congrats Lynchburg-Clay on a great comeback win.

Thanks again smurray for the updates and the Stats. Great job as usual. Between you and Pfloyd, we don't really have to go to the games. Lol

Towards the end of the 3rd quarter LC started pressuring defensively and that got things going, NY did a good job of controlling tempo most of the game, just got sped up by LC and Scott got it going. NY had very solid game plan just allowed Peyton Scott to get going, which is a hard challenge not to. Which IMO makes LC scary, when a kid who has the whole team defensively tuned into her and still gets 32, just cant count those type of kids out till the buzzer

On a side note liked how the Mackenzie Hurd competed, had a couple of blocks on Scott, made Scott work for every point.
