New Boston Glenwood 29

New Boston is now 4-14 overall and 3-7 in SOC1 play. Clay improves to 11-5, 8-2 currently in second place in the conference.

The Lady Tigers next host the Green Lady Bobcats 6-9, 5-5 on Thursday the 24th. Green defeated the Lady Tigers earlier in the year 49-45 in Franklin Furnace.

The Lady Panthers next host the Huntington Ross Lady Huntsmen 10-4, 7-1 in SVC play, on Saturday the 19th.

New Boston Glenwood 43
Green 40

The Lady Tigers pulled out a close one in the Den tonight. These two teams were pretty much even the entire night again. The Lady Bobcats had won the game at Green 49-45. The game was tied at 9-9 after one, 18-18 at the half, Lady Tigers 30-28 after three and the final 43-40.

The scoring for New Boston was Junior Lexus Oiler with 16, Freshman Whitley with 11, Junior Sammy Oiler with 9, Junior Hickman 5 and Sophomore Easter 2. Freshman Kimbler for Green had a game high 17 points, followed by Sophomore Brown with 12, Sophomore Sweeney with 8, Senior Johnson with 1 and Sophomore Blevins with 2.

New Boston improves their record to 5-14 and 4-7. Green slips to 6-10, 5-6.

The Lady Tigers are off until the 31st when they host the Eastern Lady Eagles 4-9, 3-6, while the Lady Bobcats host the Lady Indians of Western 7-10, 6-4 that same night.


The New Boston Jr. High girls won the game over Green 31-22.

The Eastern Pike at New Boston Glenwood game for this evening has been postponed with no makeup date scheduled yet.

Next up for the Lady Tigers 5-14, 4-7 is two games on the road to end the regular season. Monday 2/4 they are at Notre Dame 17-0, 10-0 to meet the Lady Titans and Thursday 2/7 they travel up to Latham to face the Western Lady Indians 8-10, 6-4. Congratulations to the Lady Titans, the #7 team in Division IV in AP poll!

The Lady Eagles 4-10, 3-6 are at the Clay Lady Panthers 11-7, 8-2 on Monday, and make the trip to Willowwood 2-7 to challenge the Lady Vikings of Symmes Valley 11-7, 4-5.

The Eastern at New Boston Glenwood game postponed from 1/31 will be played tomorrow 2/2.

Eastern's Jr.High and NB Jr.High girls will tip off at 11:00, followed by the Jr.High boys teams. Next will be Parents Night for the High School girls teams, followed by the girls Varsity game.

New Boston Glenwood 49
Eastern Pike 45

New Boston avenged an earlier loss in the year to Eastern in Beaver. That score was 72-33 in favor of the Lady Eagles. Both squads are young and have some good talent.

Tigers led at all stops 14-10 after one, 28-24 at the half, 42-38 after three and the final 49-45.

Freshman Abby Cochenour led all scorers with 23, followed by the rest of the Lady Eagles with Senior Salisbury with 8, Freshman Addison Cochenour 7, Junior Green 5 and Sophmore White 2.

New Boston was led in scoring by Junior Lexus Oiler with 19, Freshman Whitley 12, Junior Sammy Oiler 10, Junior Hickman 6 and Sophomore Easter with 2.

New Boston improves their record to 6-14 overall and 5-7 in SOC1 play. Eastern falls to 4-11 and 3-7.

The Lady Tigers are at league leading and undefeated Notre Dame 17-0, 10-0 on Monday 2/4 and at Western 9-10, 7-4 on Thursday 2/7. The Lady Eagles have Clay 12-7, 9-2 at home on Monday and travel up to Symmes Valley 11-8, 4-6 on Thursday.

Their was no JV game played. In the Jr. High girls game, the young Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Eagles. In the boys Jr.High game it was the Eagles coming out on top.

Notre Dame Lady Titans 52
New Boston Glenwood Lady Tigers 29

Notre Dame improves their record to 18-1, 11-0, while the Lady Tigers fall to 6-15, 5-8.

New Boston finishes the regular season on the road 2/7 at Western 9-10, 7-4. The Lady Titans go to Green 2/7 to meet the Lady Bobcats 8-11, 5-7 and finish the regular season at Belpre 14-5 in the TVC on 2/9.

Division IV Tournament begins at Northwest 2/11 at 7:00 with the New Boston Lady Tigers vs the Eastern Pike Lady Eagles. The two split the regular season games with each winning at home. Notre Dame Lady Titans play the winner of this game on 2/14 at 6:15. Good Luck to all in the tournament!

Division IV Sectional Play
New Boston Glenwood 63
Eastern Pike 60

The first meeting between the Lady Eagles and Lady Tigers went to Eastern by the score of 72-33 in Beaver.
The second meeting between the two went to New Boston 49-45 in the Tiger Den.
The third meeting goes to the Lady Tigers 63-61 at Northwest in Sectional Tournament Play.

Eastern's freshman Abbie Cochenour led all scorers with 36 points including eight 3 pointers, followed by Green 16, and Addison Cochenour and White 4 each. New Boston's freshman Whitley led the Lady Tigers with 19, followed by Lexus Oiler 18, Hickman 14, Easter 9 and Sammi Oiler 3.

Scoring by quarters was, after one 17-6 NB, at the half 29-26 NB, after three 46-42 NB and the final 63-60 NB. The game was tied at 60 with 1:40 in the fourth. Excellent effort by both teams.

The Lady Tigers improve their record to 7-15, 5-8 winning three of the last four games. Eastern goes to 4-14, 3-9.

Next up for New Boston is a Sectional Final game on Thursday, 2/14 with the State Ranked and SOC 1 Champion Notre Dame Lady Titans 21-1, 13-0. The game is at Northwest. The Lady Tigers have one makeup game with Western. The game has yet to be scheduled. The Lady Eagles have some make up games also.

Division IV Sectional Final

Notre Dame 57
New Boston Glenwood 15

Lady Titans pressure the Lady Tigers to the 42 point win.

Notre Dame led at all stops 18-4 after one, 32-9 at the half, 53-11 after three and the final 57-15. Scoring for ND was Hash 11, Katie Dettwiller,Schmidt, and Cassidy with 10 each, Smith and Claire Dettwiller 4 each and Schaefer and Campbell with 2 each.

The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Lexus Oiler 10, Hickman and Sammi Oiler 2 each, and Whitley with 1.

Notre Dame 22-1 wins the Sectional and moves on to the District at Jackson High School on 2/21 6:15 vs the winner of Federal Hocking 7-13 and Symmes Valley 13-9. Good Luck to the Lady Titans!

New Boston has a make up game at Western at a date yet to be determined.

Proud of our Lady Tigers! All starters are returning for next year, including 3 juniors, 1 sophomore and 1 freshman.

The Lady Tigers made up their game at Western. The Lady Indians came away with the 3 point victory. No final score was reported. New Boston ends their season at 7-17, 5-9, while Western finishes 13-11, 10-4. New Boston returns the entire starting five for next year. Look for good things to happen with the Lady Tigers.
