South Webster will be looking for a new girls basketball coach next year.
Coach Johnson resigned a few weeks ago.

Any movement in the ovc?

South Webster job seems like a good one im sure some good local coaches would be interested or should be interested

Overheard at a ball game the other night that Gallipolis is holding interviews now.

Although if what I overheard is true, the "interviews" are for show. Apparently, the job is going to a buddy of the AD.

No clue if this is true, but I am sure at some point, someone will post who is hired. With no real ties to the program, I would just like to see someone take the job and plan on being there a while and build a program up. I am sure most of us feel the same on this one, all we want for programs is to get good people in the coaching positions that will build programs for the youth.

They're all open. All coaches non renewed at the end of the each year.

That is not necessarily true. While most schools operate in that fashion, there are several schools in the area that hire coaches into multiple year contracts for the position.

Fisher Cath is open. Deadline to apply is 4/30.

Amy Hughes is the new head coach. Lady Trojans may be a force to deal with next season. I've seen there point guard has been putting in a lot of work in the off season. I know she will bring this team together and they will be fun to watch. Go Trojans!!!!!!

Sad that Southern's coach left them hanging. They didn't even have a JV coach last year so there are not doing anything. But, the previous coach (before Kight) ran off all the girls and coaches. Sad for the kids.

Why should he not take a better job if available? Maybe Southern should pay better than scraps and they'd have people willing to Coach.

If you are coaching High school girls basketball in Meigs county and the pay is an issue then you have bigger problems in your life.

You don't get it. No coach ever does it for the pay, but to do such a job for as lottle as Southern pays, you"re lucky to find anyone to do it.

Yes I don't get it. If you think the pay difference at Southern compared to another school is the deciding factor in hiring a coach for girls basketball then you my friend. Don't get it.
