Meigs is tough! New Boston has a great team too. Meigs is just strong and solid. Both teams played hard!
New Boston is a GOOD team. One of the better teams Eastern has played this year. I see that Notre dame beat them twice this year. We're the games competitive?

I don't think that was Eastern of Meigs county

Eastern Meigs/Reedsville are playing their best basketball of the year right now. They are finally feeding the post to go with their outstanding perimeter play! Their center is averaging a double double the last 3 games as is their senior star player!

Meigs is impressive. If they bring their A game, they will be hard to beat. ND will give them a good run. Meigs has a solid paint and perimeter game.

D3 District Championship at Wavelry will have both teams at 23-1 Eastern Brown and Southeastern Ross enter with same record and both playing really well. should be a great game

The second game could be an interesting game, if NA handles guard pressure and can get the ball into Avery Harper at 6'2", Madison Jenkins could be key for North Adams to have a chance. Alexander's guard play has been great all year and sure it wont let up and McKnight is a very solid coach.

I agree the first game could and should be a great match up. Have to think Eastern would be favored with their size and length. Could come down to which team determines the tempo. I have been Hoping this game would happen when I saw the brackets a couple weeks ago.
I think Alexander will be to much for North Adams but it's tourney time and there are no easy games from here on out. I only saw the Devils once this year and it was against Southeastern. Neither team looked real good that night so I could be way off. Best of luck to all the athletes. I am sure they will leave it all on the court.

After seeing tonights D3 games, I think Lynchburg Clay will handle Fairland.

Fairland has seen Lynchburg-Clay before. Last years district final. So there wont be that initial shock of LC speed, length and athleticism that hit Oak Hills in the mouth. Should be a great game, Fairland has definite size advantage and love their point guard. Most teams just don't expect how long and fast and aggressive Lynchburg Clay is until they see it in person. I believe the Mustangs average time of possession between shots is like 4 seconds, not even kidding. They get up and down and get after it on 'D" This will be a great game and like all the others a battle of will and who dictates the pace.

I'll be pulling for Fairland but I don't see how they can hang with Lynchburg. That is one impressive team! If Fairland decides to trap I don't think it will be effective. Lynchburg is so fast and passes the ball so well.

Interesting how Fairlands point guard shoots with her right hand but most of her passes are with her left. Is she getting looks from college programs? Very good player in all aspects of the game. Her ability to get into the paint is pretty amazing.

This will be their 3rd matchup of the year for the right to go to the final four. How cool is that, for teams who play in the same league and know each other so well.

Good seeding allowed this match-up to happen this late in the tourney. In retrospect a little more fair may have been to have Fairland in the district with Alex instead of with Lynchburg, which may have saved last Saturday's instant classic game until tonight!
