Waterford defeated Eastern 55-48. Eastern led by 5 at end of first, but Waterford came back to lead by one at half and pulled away in second half and led by 12 at one point. Eastern shot the ball pretty well and probably had about 6 threes but Waterford's pressure defense forced several turnovers. By far the best two teams in the TVC Hocking. No JV game - I assume Eastern doesn't have a JV team.

Good effort Lady Eagles.Will be tough to handle by Tourney Time.

Yes they have no JV team..
The game could have been really tight had Eastern not guvin up so many offensive RB's off missed foul shots. But of course if Waterford had hit a few more of those freebies, it would have been a blow out.

Are you not a media guy for Athens Sports??? Then how do you not have Athens girls scores or other Athens County scores? When Athens was winning, you'd be the first to post their scores, now 48 hours later, nothing. No worries when Big Blue crushes the puppies, I'll get you a score.

The Athens Jackson girls game started at 2 and wasn't over yet when he posted this.

Sorry Barlow. I had a boys game Saturday night. I couldn't sit at home in front of my computer and wait on girls scores to post.

BTW, I had a parent for Athens that would text me updates and scores after (& during) every single game. The girl graduated and I no longer have a resource as dedicated as they were. I am at the mercy of fans & parents to gather scores for all 32 TVC teams - I can't force them to send me info you know.

Big responsibility gathering score and you do a fine job.
