Two good coaches with good teams. Good measuring stick for both clubs early in the season. Might try and make this one myself.

It's a shame this is'nt a regular season matchup. But as you say it's good measuring stick game. The Lady Cavs have some other tough scrimmages besides this one...

A. Not much to report on in the preseason
B. Don't have internet at home.

If you add up all the quarters it was 119-117 in favor of the Oaks.

Both teams look good at times and also looked bad at times. Oak Hill just could hit any shots. They were open shots and good shots they just weren't falling. Some of those shots will fall during the season.

Both teams you could tell are still trying to get their running legs ready.

Does Oak Hill have any local kids on the team? I know they have several transfers on the team including one from Vinton County and wasn't there one from Minford and Jackson?

Oak Hill does not have any Vinton County, Minford, or Jackson girls.

I'm sorry you're right they are now enrolled at Oak Hill which makes them Oak Hill players now, but they did go to those schools until they transferred.

i am so sick of all the whinning about transfers at oak hill. each school team needs to worry about their own team. you might have to work just a little harder to beat this very well developed team but please just stop whinning about it. it seems like that is all everyone is thinking about instead of trying to find an offense that will work against this team or a defense that will stop this team. NOT!!!

good luck lady oaks. look forward to a great season.

you think this is bad check out the alexander threads on volleyball. they tell it like it is over there. i dont see any difference between alex volleyball and oak hill basketball or south webster in the hughs era. it is what it is. people transfer, some home town girls quit, when they quit transfering then you end up lke south webster did a few years back. now oak hill cant argue that comparison.

im not from oak hill but i do know karissa adkins ,
taylor and breanna butler and taylor hale are all from oak hill
so theres 4 out of the top 6 or 7 players
and as far as i know only rebecca pucket is only player to move into district
the other girls have been there since before junior high because i saw them all playing for oak hill since 7th grade
so for people to get on here and act like oak hill went out and got a bunch of new players this year is crazy
so i would like for some one to tell me other than puckett who are the transfers from other varsity teams you are talking about?

who transferred?
like i said earlier i checked and puckett is only player on oak hills roster that has ever played for another school
and since she moved into district she isnt a transfer either
so instead of making excuses as to why you cant beat them you should try and encourage your team to play their best. what oak hill does or doesnt do shouldnt affect the way the rest of our teams play
so for us to get on here and complain is doing nothing for our teams its almost like we are giving up before the game is even played

It's still a transfer even if she did move into the district. She transfered into the Oak Hill district so she's a transfer.
