Way to grind it out and persevere with such immense frustration with the FG proficiency. Amazing to me were the percentage of uncontested 7-11' shots that were not even close to going down!

What makes this so great is what the Wildcats overcame to win this weekend. Nobody outside Waterford knew this but the team was hit by the flu this week. Only had 7 girls at practice on Wednesday. Megan Ball had 2 rounds of mono during the season, and still was under the effects of that. Information that could only hurt our team and the way our community kept it secret was amazing. I really thought we were in trouble, but we found a way to gut it out.

For which of the two state tourney games were they the sickest?

Waterford's girls lost in the state finals last year to Fort Loramie. This is the first basketball team in Washington county to win a state championship, boys or girls.
