2016 BACF Basketball Girls Game

The 15th Annual Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis All-Star Basketball Classic will be Friday, March 25 at Parkersburg South High School. The girls game will tip at 5:30PM, with a boys game following. Girls Free-Throw Shooting and 3-Point Shootout Finals will be held at halftime of the boys game. Tickets are $5 and available at the door, which opens at 4:30PM.

The Ohio girls roster, coached by Waterford’s Jerry Close, includes Captain Dani Drayer. Drayer, a Malone University recruit, has led her 26-1 Waterford team back to the Ohio D-IV Final Four and was selected to the Associated Press All-Ohio Division IV 1st Team already this season. Drayer is averaging 15ppg, 4apg, and 3 spg and has scored over 1,000 points in her career. The complete BACF Ohio roster includes:

The WV girls roster, coached by Parkersburg South’s Scott Stephens and Ed Davis, includes Co-Captains Katelyn Byrd and Anna Hayton. Byrd, a Moorehead State recruit, is 2nd in scoring at South with 14ppg, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists while converting 80% of her free-throw attempts. Hayton, a University of Charleston recruit, has led the Patriots in scoring at 16ppg with 10 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game. Byrd and Hayton, who both passed the 1,000 pt scoring mark this season, have helped to lead South to their 4th straight appearance in the WV State Tournament. The complete BACF WV roster includes:

The Girls Basketball Classic series is tied at 7-7.
