In my research on the history of Blue Angel basketball (I'm doing this from memory as I've turned my research over to coach Barnes) those teams went to the regionals three consecutive years. I believe Sarah went on to play at Stanford and later was head coach at Marshall. Nancy had a very nice career at Ohio U, and Margaret is our current Municipal Court judge in Gallia County. Those girls put up some incredible records as well.
wasn't the other two starters sisters also... combs or something like that?

What type of season do you think you'll have? The SEOAL is a tough league for sure...
Re: GIRLS BBALL COACH AT GALLIA ACADEMY
4ever saw both era's play. I would have to say the Evans sister era was the best ever JMO thought. They were both very good teams at Gallia Academy and I'm glad I saw them both play!!!!!

I think Renee and the new staff will do a great job. Jeff Lanham brings a wealth of experience to the program from his coaching days at URG. Plus, he comes from good coaching stock: Art Lanham.
Either Todd Miller or Chris Ellcessor would have been good choices, too.

Amazingly enough this year will once again be the Barnes show.... why on earth is this happening~~~especially when it is well known that others applied for the job that are just as capable of doing a great job..... for the last couple of years that She has had ANYTHING to do with this team many talented girls have sat the bench... but then again isnt that how gahs has been for years?? definately doesnt do the girls justice when they are very athletic and sit the bench so 5 can play!!
Re: GIRLS BBALL COACH AT GALLIA ACADEMY
Rumor has it the Geiger girl is not playing. Does anyone know if this is true?
Re: GIRLS BBALL COACH AT GALLIA ACADEMY
No, Geiger isn't playing. Her knee has been bothering her and the ortho Dr said the side to side movement to her knee from b-ball could seriously injure it and recommended her not to play. She will be running some indoor track this winter as the Dr. said that would be OK after she rests it a little. She will be joining Close, Jackson, the Adkins, Logan on the indoor team (unattached because I don't think GA will ever add indoor track) I think this is a wise decision because Alexis is running D1 track.

I don't think you know what your talking about, that she sat better players. I know all her players she played from the past. She had the best on the floor.
So name me some of those players she sat.
