Waterford has some serious motivation for this game! They have been knocked off by Africentric before. A win for the Lady Cats would quiet a lot of the nay-sayers claiming SE bastetball is not the quality of basketball in the rest of the state! The cats have the chance to really prove themselves. 4th quarter was tough to listen to, way too many opportunities passed up by the LadyCats.......Missed layups, close shots, and again, poor shot selection.

Great season for Waterford. Best of luck to your three seniors (Brown, Drayer, and Lang), you will be missed.

Congrats to Waterford on a great season. It really is a shame that public schools that are honest and use their own kids have to overcome basically small college talent that is brought in from surrounding areas. From Steely Dan's account they had their chances though. Everyone wants to bang on southeastern ohio, but the kids play hard and represent well against incredible odds.

Once again, the wheels fell of the cart against Africentric. Ugh, this was hard to watch. These Waterford girls are such wonderful atheletes and I don't know if they psych themselves out because they're up against this Columbus city school, or what, but that was just not Waterford ball being played out there last night. There were glimpses of our Lady Cats, but overall they were just very sloppy and out of sorts it seemed. The first quarter looked very promising and the Cats were hanging with them. The rebounding was crazy. I think only two 3's were made (Lang, Drayer) and as for Africentric shooting 3s, they didn't have to! They were under the bucket where it counted last night.

Ladies, a wonderful season full of fantastic ball! Congratulations to Brittany, Jessie and Nettie! It has been fantastic watching you girls these past years. To the Cats that remain in the program, you have the skills and the talent and the heart and most definitely the FANS! You can have it all. Work hard and bring it back next year.

And about those FANS!! I'm sure there was no one in Waterford Ohio last night!! Great job from the parents, friends and community of Waterford! You are the most supportive system I have ever seen, most especially for girls' basketball. Keep up the stellar work!
