Final LE loses their 4th straight and 6 of their 7 games
LE and Athens are really battling for the bottom seeds this year. Big matchup Jan 27th between these 2 powerhouses.

Not to be a jerk, but everyone knew LE was going to have a rough season since they are starting 3 Freshmen. The expectations for the Bulldogs were slightly higher. LE will be back to normal in 2 years, maybe next year.

True, LE at least has some kind of Excuse. As far as seeding goes I don't know much about it. In the Logan Sectional there are 10 teams. Who does 8, 9 and 10 play?

Westfall will be the 10th seed. 5-9 is a complete crap shoot right now between Marietta, New Lex, Circleville, Logan Elm and Athens.

7 vs 10 and winner plays 2
8 vs 9 and winner plays 1
3 vs 6
4 vs 5

I'd guess Westfall is the 10, they have 3 wins, but against lower division teams with a combined 6 wins.

Marietta and Athens are both 3-9, but Marietta has the head to head. Athens does appear like they should win several games coming up, including against LE, whose is pretty much 5'9 across the board besides their one Senior.
LE is 4-8, New Lex is 4-6, while Circleville is 5-7.

Thanks, should be interesting. And with the Amanda upset of FU, even 1-4 isn't set in stone. Where Warren, VC, FU and Sheridan land may get interesting. Sheridan and FU this Saturday??

To be honest that's a great result for LE only losing by 4 to TV.

I was really thinking the fu loss was a bad one, and overall it is, but rust can be real. The 4th quarter they played really well. So maybe they started to find it. Also I guess AC hit 10 3s.. So that's tough to deal with too. Idk... let's see how they play Saturday vs BC.

Has FU and Sheridan played yet? If not, when is that game?

Sorry just got my internets thawed and working again. My pipes burst. Just don’t understand how Piketon drops from 8 to 20th behind West Union? (Who they beat)...they lost to two D2’s, Unioto and to ZT in OT (top 8) lost to E. Pike on neutral floor...drop 12 spots with OT loss? Still hard for Camp Creek to swallow. Streaks gonna probe folks wrong!

They dropped because they have yet to beat a good team. Please don't say Paint Valley.

Ukfanatic I see those 5 steps of how to treat shock saved you!! Waverly beat a Burg team that came of a state football championship and lost to Oak Hill by 20. Lets not forget Miami Trace they are juggernauts!! How many road wins Waverly have?

I'm not saying I agree with that big of a drop, but then again I don't watch as much basketball as PFloyd. He's the expert and I will leave that for him. However, Waverly is a good basketball team and shouldn't be discredited.

Vinton County beat #8 Zane Trace 61-38 today. Vikings are 9-1 since Naylan Yates came off the disabled list in the 5th game. Vikings have not had a game all season where all 5 starters have been healthy. Eli Griffith should be back soon. Vikings will be a tough out come tourney time.

Fairland, Logan, Oak Hill, Unioto, Fairfield Union, Gallia Academy, Chillicothe, Vinton County....pick your order but to me those are the clear elite 8 teams and doesn’t seem very debatable.

1. Fairland
2. Logan

3. Unioto
4. Oak Hill

5. Fairfield Union
6. Chillicothe
7. Vinton County
8. Gallia Academy

Rankings wise probably need OH over Unioto and Gallia over VC....but I think I’d take Unioto in a matchup with Oak Hill and I think VC definitely beats Gallia Academy...just my opinion

Like someone said they dropped bc they havnt beat a upper level team yet. Loss to eastern unioto zt gotta win at least 2 of those 3

I don’t think anyone knows how good this Piketon team really is. they’re one of the best D3 schools around the area. Wouldn’t be surprised to see this team in the Regionals

You may want to take South Gallia off the end table. They got a player back - and in his first game action - had the Rebels up big on Southern at the half before wining 62-61.
