I'm glad to see my Ironton Fighting Tigers slowly climbing the ladder.

… I'town boyz are a tough team to read ANY season ohbuckeye2 - only because Coach LeFon ALWAYS plays a full compliment of "foreign" teams ! LOL … it's hard enough to keep track of the 72 teams in Southern/SouthEast Ohio but to try to figure out how the teams from across the river compare to Ohio teams?!!! he kills me every year LOL … makes it hard to read the true strength of the Tigers … but I do read the papers, everything posted on SEOPS from the Tiger faithful … The Tigers are getting "Ws" THAT'S the bottom-line … throw in that Coach LeFon IS one of the best we have in SEO … what 's not to like about the I'town boyz ?

3 more games then the REAL season starts don't get me wrong I love the game of basketball all season but the real thrill is when it comes time to win to advance!

I totally agree biggdowgg - "survive and advance" it is what is all about - no style points in the "one and done" post season … it's ALL about justing getting the "W" and moving on … the ONLY thing that bothers me about the post season is that it is the "beginning" of the "end" … when that last tip goes up and the buzzer sounds - I go into "hoops" withdrawal LOL …

I may take some heat for saying this, but I do not think Unioto has been challenged or will be until tournament.

I have wAtched unioto 6 times so far this season. They are a very talented team that's fun to watch. And this comes from a lifetime cavalier fan.

Wasn't it Oak Hill who four or five years ago went undefeated in the regular season and lost their first game of the tournament? Not saying this team was like that Oak Hill team whatsoever but sometimes having a couple losses isn't a bad thing.

As a Sherman fan, the fact that they haven't been truly pushed is something that concerns me a bit...however, they played a multitude of close games last season and have the same core team back from a year ago, so they do have some experience in close games, just not this season. I do think that games at Miami Trace, Southeastern, and Zane Trace coming up could create some tight games. which I would greatly prefer.

… Unioto HAS been challenged during games this season - during the first 3 quarters of multiple games - just not for the entire games … in my mind THIS has a great deal to do with the depth of the Shermans, the type of pressure they put on the opposition for 32 minutes, the multitude of weapons Coach Hoops brings to the court … you have a team that took took a 54-52 end of the 3rd quarter nail biter vs Southeastern and made it into a rout going on a 30-2 run in the 4th period … I believe Unioto HAS played some very good ball clubs this season BUT the overall makeup of the Shermans gives them a decided edge … I suppose we will get the answers to whether dropping one during the regular season is good or not so good when the survive and advance season begins in a few weeks … imo Unioto is one of those rare complete TEAMS offensively and defensively … 8-9 legitimate basketball players that are interchangeable without losing and advantage on offense or defense … there is nothing I can find that is a glaring weakness to exploit … and believe me - I look for these things in every team I watch LOL … Coach Hoops boyz have made a fan out of me - even if they aim that tank at me every time I sit in the cheap seats at UHS ;-p

Federal Hocking is (6-1) in their last 7 games, (9-3) in their last 12 ... with wins AT SOUTH GALLIA, and AT WATERFORD recently ... Two teams they are ranked below.

pfloyd u got eastern pike way too low if u have seem them play it must have been a bad game. this team is better than that we are talking about a team that when they play good is tough and can hit 3s with any team in the area. as for the program itself we are looking at the next 3 years of possibly winning the soc1 so they at least should be above anybody in their own conference.
