It’s tournament time, I don’t think Waterford will win but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they did.

Trap game for FH. They beat Waterford twice this season by similar margins. Lancers have been the better team but Waterford has hung around like a bad idea in those games. Unless there is a significant discrepancy in talent, underdogs tend to play up to their competition in the playoff.

Armstrong is a nice ball player. Sometimes it just takes a great individual performance to advance.

Andrew Airhart has been on a scoring tear of late. Cottrill is one of the better guards in SE Ohio.

Lancers by 8+

Federal Hocking has PREPARED all season for being at the Convo - Coach Thompson has put this group up against the 2 best teams in D2 in SE Ohio Marietta 2 times, Warren once ... the Lancers took on the 2 best D4 teams IN the tourney that they will have to go through to get out of the Convo - South Webster and Fairfield Leesburg ... other quality teams of note D2 Vinton County @ VC, D3 Belpre on a neutral court at Shawnee State University, Lucasville Valley - all of these game were games vs arguably BETTER teams "AT THE TIME" than Federal Hocking put on the floor ... ALL of these games were in building a TEAM around the Lancers Marquee duo of Tariq Cottrill and Drew Airhart ... giving TEAM a chance to play vs the best of the best, become familiar with WHAT they would have to improve on to compete vs the teams that are BETTER than themselves ... the Federal Hocking TEAM has developed into a quality TEAM - Mosiah Cottrill/Cam Joy/Dillon Haynes all sophomores have developed into solid contributors - players that HAVE TO BE "defensed" on the offensive end along with Evan McPhearson who adds intensity on the boards while playing within his role ...

... it's hard to beat a team 3 times in a season, FH has beaten Waterford 2 twice by 10 & 9 points respectively in their match-ups ... my money is on the Lancers who have prepared for THIS moment all season to move on to take on the winner of the Fairfield Leesburg vs Manchester game in the Southeast 2 District Finale' next Friday night ...
