OVC should be a great league this year. Everybody needs to defend their home court and steal a few on the road to win. So this is a big one for Ironton. Need Terry to feel good about it.

Definitely need to work on rebounding, their Defense is pretty good. The Freshman Layne looked really good, has some hops.

Big, fast, and deep. Tigers played 10 in a close first half. That should keep practices competitive and interesting this year. They have some dudes.

Athleticism everywhere! Layne is going to be one of the most electric players in the OVC by the end of the year. Two problems I see with this team moving forward; 1. The head coach talks to the bench and his assistant coaches during 90% of the game as opposed to coaching the kids on the floor. He has done this since starting at Ironton. Coach the kids on the floor. 2. Players need to buy into the concept of “TEAM”. I see a lot of bad shots being taken and driving and flopping. Play ball. Play team ball. There is too much talent on this team for players to attempt to spotlight themselves. This group can win the OVC Championship and make a nice playoff run if a few minor changes are made.

You are exactly right about Barnes. Screams and yells to much.Prepare your team in practice. Make adjustments in time outs and half time. Let them play. He also has a very inexperienced staff. One would think Ironton could do better.
