Valley at Waverly Friday 2/11

Post by smurray »

Waverly wrapped up the SOC2 CHAMPIONSHIP tonight with their 68-47 win over West.
Trey Robertson was on fire draining 6 triples and 34 points while dishing out assists.
Tiger defense was on their game creating 15 West turnovers.

Valley would like nothing better then to come into the jungle and knock off the Tigers right before tournament action.

Win or lose, i think both teams will benefit from the competition, as they head into the tournament.

I think Valley hasn’t forgot that they jumped all over Waverly at home and then played not to lose, and the Tigers stormed back!

If Valley gets out and runs and plays their style the entire game they’ll be right there, if the Tigers get it to the pace they want, I think you’ll see a 4-8 point Tiger win.

That said…

Valley 68
Waverly 65

Congratulations to the Tigers on the SOC 2 crown and good luck in the tournament.

I agree. I’d waverly gets it into a half court game, I want to see valley be competitive. See Improvements from the first game. Also, I’d like to see 24 stay out of foul trouble. Need good minutes out of 25 and 23 again. They will be crucial come tournament time. Go get it valley and congratulations to the tigers.

... are the games on SOSA's youtube page archived so we can watch them at a later time than the original game time?

I think I agree I92. I would have said pick ‘em earlier this week, but after last night I’m thinking the Tigers may win with a little oomph, and the reason really showed its/his head last night…Hudson Kelly. Trey will be his normal fantastic self and Will will run the floor like a madman and chase down every loose ball to the popcorn stand…that’s what they do. But, Hudson Kelly played with an aggressiveness that I haven’t seen out of him. He’s definitely had some big moments and stretches, but last night was different. Hopefully he’s able to carry that into tonight, and if he does, I think you’ll see the Tigers show why they’re the league champions. And then I’m going to watch the Indians do some damage in the tournament.

Kelly was the difference the first time. He works hard to get his, he doesn't appear to be the focus of the offense but he delivers.

5.3 to go in the JV game and we have a lengthy delay to mop up some pleasantry off the floor.
First time I’ve seen this happen.
