Totally agree with biggdowgg about the Pointers......as they say in today's world, they are legit. Don't have a lot of size, but have everything else. Have to be one of the favorites for a D3 district title. Beat the Trojans at PHS 67-61 in early December and looking forward to the return match at SP.
I remember the 1990 South Point district championship team with Randall Pennington which lost a close game to Steubenville in the D2 regional semifinal. Portsmouth then beat Steubenville for the regional title.
The Pointers are making a good account of themselves for the OVC. Happy for Coach Wise.....one of the really good guys in coaching.

Greenup County who they beat earlier in the year. This was a Saturday game and I feel the Pointers were just tired!
