Your School’s All-Time Starting 5

Post by Ironman92 »

Just list your starting 5, no subs, no could be’s. Not easy I know.

Mine for Jackson

Ed Spriggs 6’8, scored over 1800 and went on to play at Miami Univerity

Brad Howe 6’5, scored over 1500 points and also scored over 1500 points at Capital University. Was their all-time leader in 3 point FG when he graduated

Willie Woodard 6’6, SEOAL MVP, played at D2 Lewis State and then Capital. Great length and outside range

Cooper Donaldson 6’3, over 1150 points, great defender and scorer.

Caleb Wallis 5’8, electric point guard with elite quickness, great outside shooting and great defender

That’s my starting 5....carefully pieced together with ball handling, shooting, length, size, speed and defense

Yes, I wanted to list about 15 others but that’s not the rules....so good luck Hoopie and trojandave lol

Whiteoak

6’1 Robbie Barnett .....1400+ points in high school and over 1,000 in 2 years at Southern St. 2nd best high school defensive player I’ve ever seen. Ultimate slasher and scorer.

6’1 Doc Seip....over 1,000 in 3 years. Strong and athletic like few I’ve seen.

5’11 Jeremy Stacy...was go to scorer and defender on Whiteoak’s final 4 team. Unstoppable running that baseline.

6’0 Justin Michael....incredible point guard on their final 4 team. Over 1,000 points.

6’1 Joe Michael...great talent was a 4 year starter and well over 1,000 points

Here's my starting 5 for my Portsmouth Trojans:

1. Jeff Lisath......1978 state champion and all time leading scorer for PHS in state tournament play (40 pts in 2 games) Miami of Ohio
2. Craig Tubbs.....1978 state champion and 2nd all time leading scorer for PHS in state tournament play (39 pts in 2 games) Miami of Ohio
3. Patrick Tubbs...1988 state champion and 5th all time leading scorer in Trojan history (1,297 pts.) Morehead State
4. Mike Haley......1961 state champion and leading scorer on that Trojan team; Hall of Fame member of Ohio University
5. Larry Hisle......1965 First Team All-American; averaged 25.5 PPG; played baseball for Phillies and Brewers

Tough to name only 5, but I'll play by Ironman92's rules. I'll put that starting 5 against any in the SE district.

Justin Lower was a hair before my time so I’m not sure about his legend status. Definitely solid with my other 4. Wags graduated a Jeep and always will be.

Waginger would make mine. THE best high school defensive player I have seen.

I have a great Kayla Cook story

2005 first game of the season. That’s the night that the lights went out in Jackson. First time I saw Wags steal darn near every possession

Kip averaged high 20s in points and if I'm not mistaken was first team all state. In 1972 or 1973.
