Feeling pretty good about the 7 spot for MY Shermans. OUR 3 losses were to the 3, 4, and 5. And a win over the 5

Some Sunday night trivia for you ...

Joe Burrow's class went a combined 30-2 in the TVC-Ohio their soph, jr and sr years.

The Dogs split with VC in 2012/2013 for one of the losses.

Can anyone name the other?

Athens went:

(8-2) in 2012/2013
(10-0) in 2013/2014
(12-0) in 2014/2015

In 2012/2013 they lost to:

@ Vinton County 58-55
Warren 60-57
at Logan 70-69
and last, but not least, the Bulldogs suffered a very odd upset to Wellston, at home, 48-46! (The Golden Rockets were a sub. 500 team and 4-6 in the Ohio that year)

Athens was 9 points away from being a perfect (20-0) in 2012/2013. They of course lost to Warren 74-69 in overtime in the regional semi-finals.

Tough year!

Was that the best time to be an Athens basketball fan?

I have no kids or grandkids playing at Peebles. My kids graduated from here ,but; my grands are at Brown county schools. I'm a retired A plant electrician and power manager who loves the game and my school. For the Indians of Peebles to be in this top tier this late in the season is a testament to the hard work that coach Arey puts into the Peebles program. From the 3rd grade league games all the way up boys and girls,he is there as much as possible. His aim in my opinion is to build for the next year each day. He loves the kids including his own which have already gone thru the system. His daughter is starting forward on this year's girls squad. He always takes time to talk to anyone who calls. I am proud of our Indians and I believe they will be ready for the upcoming tournament trail. Thanks for the list Pfloyd.

Coach Arey is a keeper for sure Hoopie74 ... I see a lot of basketball and have for the last 20 years or so ALL OVER Southern/SouthEast Ohio ... Coach Arey is one of the best courtside anywhere ... he told me over the summer while at Lynchburg Clay that his Indians were a work in progress, going to have a lot of players who could contribute ...THAT has turned out to be very true ... Coach has brought them along - improving every game all season long ... I had them in my preseason Elite 8 - I'm thinking they will get there ...
