... I looked back at the flyers that Coach Myers sent me, doesn't say anything about a limit to the number of teams ... when Coach Myers sent me the "update" it had the email addresses to schools he has been sending info to - looked like most were Above the Lancaster-Dixon Line or East district teams ... good to see that Oak Hill/Wheelersburg/Jackson/Marietta from SEO will be participating at least one day of the shootout ...

Thanks Pfloyd. Are teams limited to how many Shootouts they are allowed to participate in during the summer? I see where Oak Hill is scheduled to also take part in the Chesapeake Shootout earlier in the month. There may not be a limit, I was just wondering.

... VetteMan - I may be wrong but I believe teams/schools have 10 days of "team" workouts/shootouts that they can use during the summer months - which is usually June so as not to conflict with football and other sports who have fall seasons ...

You’re allowed 10 coaching days as a head coach as well as a couple of dead periods where no contact is enforced

By saying "dead periods", do you mean open gym, but no Coaches or Supervision?

Fed Hock 4-0
Logan Elm 3-1
Logan 2-2

Jackson looked good at times Good overall team
LE with solid guard play
Fed those freshmen are now juniors and a nice big man the combo of guards and posts will make them solid this season
Logan has some nice players coming in as well

... The game vs LE was Jackson's best of the day defensively ... LE was down 2 starters to injuries BUT Jackson played well in that matchup - as we know LE is size challenged ... Jackson lost to Logan in overtime - the first team to score got the W ... Logan stole a pass on the perimeter and took it to the house for the W ... the Ironmens' worst defensive effort of the day for sure ... JHS hangs their hat on solid, in your face D - they didn't have it vs Logan ...

Logan has a lot of work to do to become a TEAM ... lots of quickness, basketball talent but little to no varsity experience and it shows ... trying to do what they could get away with in JV ball - lots of dribbling ... not used to the strength at the varsity level in the paint - they will improve ! ... the Chiefs will struggle vs opponents with size /multiple players with size ... Logan has 1 player with size at 6-6ish ... LHS is a work in progress as only 2 players had varsity minutes last year - Tegan Myers and Justin Wolfe both PT being limited minutes at the varsity level ... the rest of the team none ... OJT for sure this season ...
