Had 7 boys there and they all played really well. Markins has taken on the leadership role and when he plays well, the team plays well. Whiting has gotten taller and stronger and looked improved on both sides of the ball, Butch is Butch, you know what you are going to get. Wallace has grown and is quicker defensively, had a lot of deflections/steals. Matters looked really good running the point. Handled and distributed the ball very well. Joey was a rebound machine. Look for big things from Joey on the defensive end, rebounding, including offensive put backs. Trainer was not there, but he was at Jackson last Wednesday and shined. Led the team in scoring over the two games.

Fairland went 3-1 or 2-1 losing to Fairview WV last minute

Portsmouth went split squad

Squad 1 4-0
Wins over South Webster 1
Northwest 8 points
West Union 5
Fleming Co 18

Squad 2 went 2-2

Teams I seen

Glenwood solid with great coaching
St. Joe Fairland and Peebles best fundamentals
Northwest had good size

Southeastern pretty good D

Piketon has a lot of work ahead of them

Peebles went 4-0 today at Clay shootout. Next weekend there will be a shootout at Peebles. Not sure of teams involved.
