2_12 Ripley at Peebles.
2_12 Ripley at Peebles.
Last year the Indians traveled to Ripley for battle. This year the Bluejays come to Peebles for another Showdown. Ripley has clinched the D1 SHAC crown and Peebles has clinched at least a tie for D2 crown. This will be a physical game as usual. Good luck and have some fun Indians. Maybe both squads can make some noise in the tournament again this year. Last year both made regionals, let's make lightning strike twice.

Ripley was D4 last year and is again this year. Ironman you are right though typically have been in the past. They could potentially play Gamble Montessori for a sectional championship. I look for this to be close for awhile but Ripley will pull away in the end by 12-15. Good test for Peebles heading into tournament play. Good luck to both teams.

I remember back in the day playing at Ripley in the old gym. Looked like you were going to hit the ceiling when an outside shot was taken. This has always been a great rivalry. This year the senior leadership at Ripley really shows. In the SHAC you never can tell. Hope my Indians can pull the upset on Senior night and year we have no seniors.haha! Ripleys seniors will get roses though.

... Ripley has been my "measuring" stick all season for teams West of Rte 23 ... comparing game results, performance vs Ripley has helped me to gauge the SHAC teams all season ... good basketball team !!!
Re: 2_12 Ripley at Peebles.
Ripley is just so deep. Their freshman team ,their reserves and varsity teams are deep. Interchangable parts. The Indians we're battling well and keeping it within reach and the Bluejays would hit three or four threes from all over the floor.,you look up and your two to four point game is gone. Fight your way back to have a chance and someone off the bench comes in and hits a couple of threes. Relentless full court for all quarters using 8-10 players. Yep,Ripley will do well in the one and done. This year it was almost impossible to go thru the 13 game SHAC schedule unscathed. The Bluejays did the best job. Eastern Brown,Ripley and a very good North Adams team made it extra hard to deal for the small schools. My Indians have learned alot compared to the team that started out the season with just one player with varsity experience and no Seniors. I am glad our squad has experienced the above teams and lessons learned.
