Post by VisionQuest »

Thoughts??? Don’t know much about Lancaster other than they are Division 1 and have to play the likes of Pick Central and North etc.

15-5 after 1st. Williams has 7 in the 1st and no fouls and doesn’t start the 2nd quarter.

47-32 Final Athens wins. Athens played stall ball most of 4th quarter.

What the hell, Lancaster? You schedule Athens with the expectation it’d be a “sure win”, and you crap the bed?

That wasn't much of a game. What's going on up there?

It was nice to get a win. But I think I would have rather watched paint dry.

Lancaster was also handled by Philo. They've also played two real crappy D4 schools this season. Program is in shambles and has been for years.

Probably lose a lot of players to FU, Bloom-Carroll, Fisher Catholic, Fairfield Christian etc.

It’s not that they lose “a lot of players”, although Conley at FU is one (General Sherman for JR high, I think?) and one of the guards at FC is another.

It’s just a complete mess that’s going to take years to recover from. Horrible biddy program for the longest time, little talent, no real solution at the head coaching helm... also doesn’t help that the football players are discouraged from doing hoops.

That’s a sad state of affairs.

I just have a hard time thinking Kent Riggs, yes, of Canal Winchester fame, is going to come back next year. I think the administration realizes it’s going to take years and Riggs may indeed be ‘the guy’, but he’s fighting an exhausting uphill battle. He’s 16-51 so far there, LHS will probably lose the final two which will make it 16-53 and a bunch of those wins are teams they shouldn’t be playing in the first place.

Lancaster may not even be the best team in Lancaster. The more embarrassing thing is Lancaster isn’t interested in playing BC, FU or FC, but they’re eager to play KIPP, Patriot Prep, BIS/Fairfield School for Boys etc. Sad!

Seems like the community doesn’t care. A lot of the Lancaster people left at half

Greathouse was the king. Didn’t leave the cupboard empty. It will never be the same ! Camolt has fallen and some of us have been part of great programs and they too aren’t coming back.

Like you said, this is a rebuild from the ground up and it's going to take years. This has to be hard for Coach Riggs to go through with all the success he had at Canal Winchester.

Who was #20 for Lancaster. Looked like he was about 6’6” or 6’7” and had some great post moves. He really stood out for Lancaster last night.
