Past players coaching at next level

Post by transplant »

As I was watching the Xavier and UC game this weekend, I noticed ex Greenfield player Dante Jackson on the coaching staff. I know there have been threads on here about southeastern Ohio players playing at the next level. But seeing Dante made me think about what other players from the area are now coaching at the next level. Besides Dante, I can think of a few others as well...

Nick Bowman, graduate of South Webster in '06 is now an assistant coach at Nicholls State University after assistant jobs at Tennessee and Clemson.

Brigham Waginger, graduate of South Webster in '06 as well, after playing at Western Carolina, he is now an assistant there.

Any other local players that are coaching at the next level?

I believe the Kretzer kid from Waverly played at Akron and is now coaching at Duquesne

I forgot about Kretzer, he is a grad assistant there. He is with Coach Dambrot, who he played for at Akron.

Blake Justice, former Peebles standout is an assistant at Valdosta state. His little brother Beau is a player there.
