Matthew Fraulini leads the TROJANS for the third straight game with 28 points and a throw down along with some great defense,he has scored 22 points in each of the first two games Danny Latimore was in double figures in the second straight game and has looked very good running the point and scoring for the first three games Portsmouth got some big help from Mickinely and ship again toight McKinley with ten and ship with 6 and double figures in the ones .

TROJANS are on a 3 \0 start on the season and will start travel to coal Grove next Tuesday where things will get tougher.

The Trojans' quickness has been a big factor in their 3-0 start. They have caused a lot of turnovers, and have converted quite a few of those into fast buckets. Last year, Portsmouth was 3-0 when Coal Grove came to PHS gym and beat the Trojans 57-55 on an Aaron Music buzzer beater. As biggdowgg said, the games will get tougher starting Tuesday night at CG. In fact, the Hornets swept the Trojans last season for the first time in OVC play, and have won 3 of the last 4 games between the two.

So far in 3 games, Matthew Fraulini is averaging a very robust 24 PPG. In every game, though, the Trojans have had at least 3 players in double figures. Miles Shipp has been outstanding on the boards, while Myquel McKinley has helped also. McKinley and Shipp have had several blocked shots to date, and their presence in the paint is a welcome sight compared to previous years. Danny Lattimore has been outstanding at both ends of the court, and he is fearless in driving to the basket. Freshman Amare Johnson seems to getting more comfortable in running PG, and although not scoring much, he is important to running the offense, and is relentless on defense, teaming with Lattimore to create turnovers.

Portsmouth has not had a 4-0 start since the 2015 season, when they started 5-0 en route to a 20-7 record and a regional runnerup finish.

GO TROJANS!!!
