Thoughts?

Should be a great game. I will be catching the young Cavs for the first time this year.

First team to 50 points. Defensive struggle.

This should be a great game! I like Chillicothe by a little bit but ZT has the athletes to win this game and the length to compete with Maughmer and Noel.

Chillicothe 44
ZT 41

I do not know a whole lot about either team.
I caught this contest last year and ZT was winning at half. Their starting pg is their best player i believe.
I have heard that Brandon Noel for Chillicothe is dominant.
I will take the Cavs in a very very close game.

Chilli 54
ZT53

Zane Trace 45
Chillicothe 33

No energy by Chillicothe, which made it to where Zane Trace almost never had to use their bench. Cam Evans had 25 and dominated the whole game.

I was interested by Chillicothe’s strategy of high ball screens where they never screened Evans, that made things nearly impossible for the Cavaliers to score.

Dear SVC, have fun with that Zane Trace defense.

It makes it easier to play defense when the opponent is dribbling the ball side to side. Very little penetration by Chillicothe. No help on Evans all night either, so he ate CHS for lunch.

Very disappointed with the intensity of my Cavaliers for my first look at them this year.
I felt like they were not in the game at all.
Also, Jayvon and Noel need to learn when they have to take over.
Cam Evans 2018-2019 SVC player of the year.

Yep. He’s establishing a case very early in the season. If ZT takes the league this year he’ll run away with the award. Won’t even be close

Cam Evans is legit. ZT is going to be a tough out in the SVC this season.

I saw Chillicothe had 0 foul shots in this game. Was there missed calls or did Chillicothe not attack the rim?

If true this would be the most bizzare stat of the young season to this point.

Is Evans getting any college interest? If so, what level?

I haven’t heard of any. My son played aau with him this summer and he can play. I’d say this will be the season he starts gaining some interest. His size may hurt him some but he’ll definitely play at the next level.

I was at the game, Chillicothe did not shoot any foul shots because they did not penetrate or get the ball inside. It had nothing to do with the refs. ZT plays aggressive man-to man and kept pushing Chillicothe out to above the three point line. Nobody turned the corner and headed to the hoop.

It was one of the darnedest things I’ve ever seen on a basketball court. Total domination by Zane Trace on Chillicothe’s side of the court.
