Be a strange matchup on Terry for SE young ones. SE needs to win the guard game and Alex has 2 good ones. Ruby needs to be more selfish this year IMO

I agree Ruby needs to be more selfish this year. Coach Strausbaugh has even said he needs more points from him this year. He's too generous with passing the ball when shots are available to him.

This is a couple tough match ups for the Panthers this weekend, traveling to Alexander and then following it up with Portsmouth Saturday afternoon. Regardless of what happens this opening weekend, I like this Panther team and they should be fun to watch.

Lane Ruby may be the best all around guard in SE Ohio this year, in my extremely humble opinion.

Great athlete, but there are a lot of good guards in SE Ohio.

Can't speak for all of southeast Ohio but he is a good one, no one like him in the S.V.C. that is for sure. This team will be continue to improve as the season goes along. They dropped another tough, close game today against Portsmouth, went 8 deep, 3 were freshman and another a sophomore. excited to watch this team progress as they continue to get experience. Program is headed in the right direction.

I have to disagree about Ruby being the best guard in SE Ohio. I love Lane Ruby. Watched him on the football field and basketball court numerous times. However, I would have to take Bo Myers and Caleb Bell from Logan over Ruby. Bo is a hybrid guard/forward and Bell a guard.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but did you watch either of the 2 games Ruby played this year? He is a different player now that he is the go to scorer on the team.

I’m a huge Ruby fan! Been watching him since 3rd grade but he isn’t even the best guard in the svc, so it’s hard to give him the top spot in southeast ohio

I did not make it to the first two games this year, but receive updates about the games from his family. Saturday he only shot once in the 1st quarter. If he is the best guard, he needs to have that mentality and take the bull by the horns. The team needs him to be aggressive 4 quarters. I will be making it to a game very soon.
