2018-19 Logan Chieftains

Post by Chieftain2009 »

Please post:
  • Schedule
  • Roster with #/Name/Height/Year
  • Outlook

Might as well get the discussion started, already excited for next year.

Logan will be losing 6'7 Caiden Landis to college. But, they do return four of their five starters and their two main players off the bench.

Thoughts on next season?

The big question is will Bo move to the "5 man" or can Wolfe (I think is his name) move into the "5 Man" roll at the varsity level?

Myers will not move to the 5 IMO. They may go small and quicker. All from what I have heard are getting bigger and stronger. Post defense will be tested . Wolfe needs to really work in the off season if he wants in that rotation . ADD 20 lbs and hit the weights . Be interesting to see if the schedule continues to be strong. We know Myers and the Bell Twins will be ready and they should have a good supporting cast . Brooks , Cassidy and Little will add quality minutes . Wonder if they will open against the TANKS like they have in the past.

Will be interesting to see where Teagan Myers fits in with next year's team. JV for sure, may see some time on Varsity?

Should be a fun year . 8 returning Seniors to be and some help from Jr.Class will shore up things . Freshman and JV should be solid . I have heard several playing some level of travel ball. I LOOK FOR A CHALLENGING SCHEDULE . Working hard in the off season will offer rewards.

Have heard Gallipolis will be coming to Logan on December 28.

Should be a great matchup between two of the best teams in SE Ohio. The Blue Devils will bring 7-foot center Zach Loveday to Jim's Gym. Loveday is one of the top recruits in Ohio and already has offers from Ohio State and Purdue according to Rivals. I have heard Ohio State is really recruiting him hard.

Should be a great game - and a tough match-up for Logan who may not have a traditional "post" player on the roster next year. I think Gallia won 20+ games this year and returns the bulk of their roster.

I got my Masters degree from Xavier in Cincinnati and my contacts there tell me X has also offered a schollie to Loveday.

I think he'll have a dozen or even dozens of offers before long.

Rivals has him as a 4* recruit and number 58 overall in the U.S.

I can tell you as a long time Xavier fan as an alumni, they find diamonds n the rough all over the country and end up as Top 10 ranked program with lesser known players. But they also usually have an outstanding coach on his way up to an eventual high profile program.

It will be a TALLLLLLL task for Gallia to take down the Chieftains . Should be a good game to take in . Is Logans schedule completed?

Just think they’ve lost a little step from last year to this year.. they may surprise me who knows but I am very skeptical..

Gosh I do not know what you have been smoking or if you are trying to create an ullusion . I saw them at The OU camp beat a team from W.Va that had beateN Akron SVSM and they looked pretty darn good . They played tough Man D and they have some very good shooters . No trouble rebounding at all . Will be a handful for anyone unless they had some players transfer out. Have not heard any rambling as such but it does happen . I'll see them 1st of Decemeber against the Tanks and I hope to see a competitive game . A big could put them deep in tourney IMO .
