Definitely thought Fairfield Union deserved the 1. But you might as well play the best.

Tough call. Have to go through fairland now ... Unless Athens/VC pulls off the upset! ;)

Me too, but the Sheridan win on friday night vs JG probably got them the 1.

Potential District semi-final game between Wheelersburg and Portsmouth. Those two have had some classic battles over the years in the tourney

Logan Elm has another Upset in them. Bad Karma Barlow it's coming.

Logan Elm will see if Ridge Young still has a game of eligibility left. ;) BBB definitely the favorite against the young Braves.

Throw the records out the window. Anything can happen. And Barlow brings bad Mojo to Warren because he Bashes Athens any chance he gets. So that is the X-Factor. Warren needs to blame thebarlowbandit on its Bad Luck last year in the Sectionals when they were loaded and a #3 seed and lost to LE a #6 in the 1st Round. You heard it here 1st.

X factor is mojo? That matchup is 2 of the top 5 coaches in the SE District of two top programs. Not sure how a Warren fan picking on Athens is going to matter.

Not sure LE can hold down the paint vs Warren. Huffman will be too much to handle, IMO.

Athens couldn't deal with him and the Dogs have 6'4, 6'3, 6'3 in the front court.

If it happens it happens, but I can guarantee you you will not find me on here blaming officials, getting mad at my coach, or touting my own kid as POY. But, hey you are free to internet as you see fit. I love the excitement that builds from beating Wellston, River Valley, Fed Hock. Convo bound!

First off, nothing I say on a message board will influence any game and competitors make their own luck. Feel free and go back to last years post, I stated the day of the game that I would not be surprised at a LE win, and I was not surprised. I also said all year that the 2nd half of the season would be very good to Athens, so I’m not real sure how that is bashing anyone.

I’m just curious, did you ever play a team sport in High School or beyond? Or are you just the, I got into sportsball because my kid started playing?

As a Warrior fan I know all to well what a Doug Stiverson coached team can do. In fact saw him at the Warrior Coliseum last night scouting the Big Bad Blue.
That being said this 2018 Edition of the Warren Warriors may not be the vaunted 2013 Edition with their 3 All Distict players of Hall, French and Patton but this group knows their roles and play them to perfection. This group will not beat themselves. They will defend you to the teeth. They will scrap for loose balls and rebounds. They have a proven veteran in Josh Huffman who has NEVER made a trip to The Convo playing a key role. I think it all adds up to a hard fought win for the Warriors over a young talented LE Braves squad. I look for this game to kick off the next few years of great basketball between these 2 SE Ohio basketball powers. Both teams have tremendous freshman classes.
