There's no sign of the team getting better with all these losses

The flagrant foul probably seals the deal for Athens

49-44 Athens escapes with the Win. LE is darn scrappy and will give them credit. Future is bright there.

They will be fine, these kids were playing 8th grade ball last year and the kids their playing now have been playing varsity 3 or 4 years. They have to take better care of the ball. LE turns the ball over way too much to be competitive with anyone.

Athens played a good game tonight. Both teams were sloppy at times. LE IS YOUNG for the people who want to be down on Coach Stiverson and the program! 3 freshmen, a big man who started jv at the beginning of the year and 1 senior. These kids make ALOT of mistakes at 14 years old. Every game is a challenge that is a teaching moment for Coach Stiverson. That is the program Coach Stiverson has built over the last 20 years! Go Braves! Continue to play hard!

LE has nothing to hang their heads about. Just the opposite. They started out cold and Athens started out on Fire. LE hung around and never gave up. This easily could have went the other way down the stretch. Athens has to learn to play with a lead and finish down the stretch. Maxfields energy needs to be matched by every player on the Athens team.

Please stop with the ridiculous comments. If you can't see this team is getting better, than you aren't watching the games closely enough. They've progressed quite a bit on the defensive end.

Logan Elm is way undersized against most of the teams they're playing, but they bust their behinds and are playing beyond their age with their basketball IQ. They've played 16 games and have only been blown out in three of them (Fairfield Union and Chillicothe).

The one thing that's missing is getting the ball to the basket, which is tough when you have a 5-10 freshmen going against a 6-1, 6-2 or 6-3 junior or senior that is just taller and stronger. When the bodies of the freshmen catch up with their ability and IQ, then watch out.

Thanks. Some Logan Elm fans are frankly spoiled and don't realize they have one of the best coaching staffs in the state (I may be a little biased there, but Coach Stiverson, Coach Holbert and Coach Dropsey get the absolute most out of their talent on a yearly basis).

It was nice seeing you tonight. Hopefully I'll see you down at Logan for the play-in games, otherwise known this year as the Pickaway County Invitational.
