Racine Camp of Almost Champions

Post by Almost Champions »

The Southern High School will be hosting summer basketball instruction. It begins June 1 and ends at halftime of the first football game. The fee is $100 but that fee is reduced if you move into the district and erect a basketball goal in your driveway. We have lined up a great list of speakers for the summer with the keynote speaker being Cousin H from the almost state championship teams.

Campers can expect the following topics to be covered over the course of the summer:

1. Ballhandling
2. Rebounding
3. Man Defense
4. Borrowing cars from the Downtown Athletic Club
5. Football is bad; dont play
6. Weightlifting is bad; keep shooting
7. 101 reason why Eastern is the scourge of the Earth

For further info, contact the AD, Carl Wolfe, at 740-949-4222.

Probably what the program needs if we want to get back to winning.

Would Reedsville boys be allowed to attend? This isn’t the kind of thing you would usually even consider but given the dismal circumstances of both programs I think a truce is in order for a short time. If Racine and Eastern can both get back in top we can go back to roughing each other up after the games once the games matter again. We could even hold the camp at Carleton seems fitting

They need to add a coaching class where they teach the coaches how to stomp, scream and spit on the players. After all, that’s how championships were won. Unless they reserve those secrets for coaches who have been part of the Racine program.
