The Chieftains are losing big man in the middle, Kory Henthorne, and 7th man Colton Dixon. They will be returning 4 starters and their 6th man. I would imagine that this years 6th man, Wes Brooks, would move into the starting lineup. The biggest question for the Chiefs will be who will step up off the bench next year.

The 4 returning starters are very solid , good shooters and they will be tested with a very strong schedule . Look for a little different offensive set if they do go small . Another big would be huge for them . Playing as a team will be crucial IMO from what I have seen . I'll try to catch some early season match ups.

Logan does have a 6' 06" soph walking the halls but I don't know if he plays basketball.

Logan will have a very balance team . Schedule will be tough but they are battled tested . If they go a little smaller lineup I look for a up tempo team . Still good size but quicker than this year. The 6-6 boy did play JH ball but has not since . Athletic and gaining strength. Would not be asked to do too much . Rebound , play post defense and work on interior shooting. Would be a plus . Look for the Returning players to do very well . 2nd year under Coach Rider and Coach Bell should be a plus .

Hate to see that Fairfield Union is not back on the schedule this season ... Warren only once ? (smh) picking up Parkersburg and P. South along with Nelsonville York tells me that the scheduling got tough because they couldn't find dates to play or teams who wanted to play or could play due to their own league games ... I believe Craig Dunn said that Logan had only 1 or 2 Friday night games from January through the end of the season - Warren the last regular season game - got to hurt the crowds & gates ...

... only 8 SEOhio games and 6 SEOhio Teams ? no SEOhio league affiliation? no opportunity to go to the Convo? 93Bulldog will be petitioning for the Purple & White to NOT be eligible to be ranked in the South East District this season ...

If you are a member of the SE District, you should be eligible for the prestigious Elite Eight.

That's good floyd . That's a start to something to play for . Maybe a league will be next. I think the Chiefs will have some hefty goals and being in your top 8 will add fuel.

I hadn't thought of that Chieftain Fan ... Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio DOES give the Purple & White "something" to play for ! ... if does legitimately let them know where they stand among all of the Southeast District 72 teams ... I hope the rankings DO give them a reason to follow what other teams do Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line AND have them setting goals high vs the teams NOT in SEOhio ...

Hey floyd what if we create a New SEO league and call it the P FLOYD Elite 10 . All games played in the SE and throw in some BIG city teams to fill out the 22 game schedule . I would bet we would get some takers on that . That would fill every GYM every game . There I go dreaming again .LOL

Hopefully Logan will be admitted to the MSL sometime in the immediate future.

Logan would be good for the MSL and the MSL would be good for the Chieftains . Logan seems to travel very well in Basketball and Football. Best of Luck.

You would think its a no brainer but not so fast my friend...... The powers that be in the MSL and Teays Valley seam to think Logan, Ohio is Logan, Utah.  Teays Valley's trip to Logan would be a WHOPPING 43 min drive and almost all 70 MPH 4 lane highway. In comparison the Teays Valley to Fairfield Union high school trip is a 42 min drive thur Lancaster and is all 2 lane rd.
